Our client is a well-established European asset management firm specializing in real estate and related investments. With over €13 billion in equity commitments across multiple funds, the firm operates through different offices and manages a diverse portfolio of direct asset, corporate, and credit investments.

Description

As a Financial Controller your responsibilities are:

  • Coordinate accounting, tax, and legal aspects for in-house companies and investment structures (Funds/SPVs).
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly reports, tax/VAT returns and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor budgets and forecast future financial performance.
  • Oversee audit process and collaborate with auditors and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provide strategic insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Manage cash operations, payments and intercompany reconciliations, and optimize financial resources.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with investment teams on deal structuring in Luxembourg and in the UK.

Profil recherché

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in the financial services industry in Real Estate or Private Equity (in-house experience preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, INREV, and local GAAP (Lux Gaap, UK Gaap, IT Gaap)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Team-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
