Description
As a Legal Counsel Wealth Planning your responsibilities are:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on life insurance policies and wealth planning solutions to Belgian Clients.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to estate planning, inheritance law and cross-border topics.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers for client meetings and explain legal implications.
- Ensure compliance with Belgian legal & tax regulations impacting wealth management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address legal concerns and mitigate risks.
- Monitor changes in legislation impacting the insurance sector.
- Support the development and implementation of wealth planning strategies.
- Support the improvement of internal processes related to legal and wealth planning services.
- Handle legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel.
Profil recherché
The successful Legal Counsel Wealth Planning should have:
- A degree in Law with a focus on private law, tax law, insurance or estate planning.
- Solid experience in the insurance industry, particularly in life insurance and wealth products.
- Strong knowledge of the Belgian legal and regulatory framework.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Dutch; English and/or French.
- A proactive, team- and solution-oriented approach to legal challenges.
