Legal & Operations Oversight Officer - AIFM

Legal Oversight :

• Support the overall legal activities of the AIFM
• Be a key point of contact within the AIFM on legal, governance and regulatory topics. Liaise with internal colleagues (e.g. group entities) or external parties (legal counsel, consultants, internal / external auditors etc) on such matters.
• Provide support to the AIFM's Conducting Officers in their oversight function. Ensure appropriate initial due diligence process is applied during service providers on-boarding (depositaries, central admins, transfer agents etc) as part of new fund structuring and implement periodic reviews (regular and ongoing due diligence). Draft specific reporting and present to governing bodies.

Compliance Oversight:

• Monitor and interpret relevant regulations, directives, and guidelines impacting the AIFM industry.
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic compliance assessments and risk assessments to identify potential gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure that fund documentation and investor communications comply with regulatory standards.
• Keep abreast of changes in regulations and proactively adjust compliance practices as needed.

Operational Oversight:

• Monitor the day-to-day operations of investment funds managed by the AIFM, including fund administration, investor servicing, and trade execution.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all fund-related activities, transactions, and communications.
• Perform periodic reviews of fund accounting, valuations, and financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers, including custodians, administrators, and auditors, to maintain effective working relationships and oversee their performance.
