Our client is a leading international law firm.

Job Description

The Senior Compliance Officer will have the following responsibilities :



  • Policy Development & Implementation: Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to design, implement, and refine compliance policies, training programs, and work processes-primarily in new business acceptance and data protection.


  • Regulatory Analysis: Analyze relevant laws and regulations to identify compliance risks and opportunities. Use these insights to guide strategic decision-making and support the firm's business goals.


  • Awareness & Culture Building: Contribute to shaping a strong culture of compliance and integrity by promoting awareness, influencing behavior, and recommending enhancements to compliance measures.


  • File Management for Audits: Ensure efficient and complete client and matter file organization to support both internal and external audit requirements.


  • Annual Focus Areas: Take an active role in monitoring, analyzing, and advising on the Compliance Office's designated annual focus areas, ensuring that initiatives align with the firm's strategic priorities.

The Successful Applicant

Your profile as Senior Compliance Officer :

  • About 5 years of experience in Compliance within banking or financial services industry in Luxembourg.
  • Master's degree in law.
  • Fluent in English and with a good level of French.
  • Team player with strong initiative and self-motivation.
  • Knowledge of compliance laws and regulations of Luxembourg and Europe (GDPR, Whistleblowing, ...)
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Interest in change management and strategic implementation.
