Our client is a prestigious, globally operating private bank.
Description
As Senior Funds Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide advisory on the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Maintain general ledgers, sub ledgers, and trial balances for international fund clients.
- Perform periodic Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, including asset valuation, accrual bookings, reconciliations, and fee calculations.
- Analyze, process, and control financial products such as equities, hedge funds, derivatives, and bonds.
- Liaise with fund prime brokers.
- Prepare annual financial statements, including notes under relevant GAAP (IFRS).
- Support external auditors.
- Take on additional responsibilities and work on projects as delegated by the Manager/Director.
Profil recherché
The Senior Funds Accountant that we are looking for has the following profile :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Audit.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably with IFRS.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to assess situations and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of financial instruments like bonds, stocks, and derivatives (Forwards, Swaps, Futures, Options).
- Previous funds-related experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of the Luxembourgish work market and culture.
