Description
As a Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Investment Banking) your responsibilities are:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on financial transactions, product structuring, and corporate initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to credit agreements, guarantees, securities, or derivatives (ISDA, confirmations, structured notes).
- Ensure compliance with Luxembourg and EU regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor legal developments in the financial services industry and assess their impact.
- Collaborate with internal departments to identify and manage legal risks.
- Support the resolution of disputes and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
- Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.
- Provide training and updates to staff on relevant legal and regulatory matters.
Profil recherché
A successful Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate & Investment Banking) should have:
- A degree in law, with a specialization in banking or financial services being an asset.
- Substantial experience in Luxembourg and EU financial markets.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents within the financial services industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient communication skills in English and French; knowledge of additional languages is a plus (Spanish, German, Portuguese)
- A proactive and collaborative approach to managing legal challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
